Who We Are

The JABA Respite and Enrichment Center (JREC) in Louisa County is a day program offering personalized care for older adults (including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease) and adults (18+) with a disability. JREC is a person-centered care facility where all members are engaged, included, and valued.

JREC provides a safe, protected environment for people who cannot remain alone at home while family members work or attend to other needs. JREC gives respite to caregivers and helps them stay together as a family, delaying or eliminating the need for long-term care. The therapeutic recreation program enriches members’ lives and serves one nutritious meal and two snacks prepared by a chef with local foods as available.

Staff includes a nurse in addition to CNAs, RMAs, PCAs, and a program manager. Capacity is 25. Transportation is not available from JABA, but JABA will help arrange transportation with Jaunt and Medicaid providers in all localities.
