Who We Are

The Women's Home, a non-profit, community-based organization in Arlington, Virginia, provides a safe, structured, and stable living environment for recovering women alcoholics and addicts, who are seeking to rebuild useful, productive, responsible, and sober lives. The Home offers substance abuse education and counseling, emphasizing relapse prevention and following a 12-step framework as a model for recovery behaviors.



Residential short-term treatment is 30 days or less; residential long-term treatment is more than 30 days.



Residents are required to attend regular AA or NA meetings as well as required to pay for their room and board at the Home. Household duties are shared. Requires applicants to be medically detoxed or alcohol/ drug free 30 days prior to admittance (with exceptions) and to seek employment or volunteer work.  Maximum capacity is 12 women.
