Who We Are
Sentara RMH Medical Center's Funkhouser Women's Center provides services to meet the special needs of women. Individual or group sessions are available on menopause, nutrition (for medical reasons or weight loss), hormone replacement options, osteoporosis, breast health, single seniors and new mothers. Other services provided for women include a heart disease screening, care for mid-life issues, osteoporosis testing, special events, education, and support.
Mammography is offered (both screening and diagnostic) and no physician referral is needed. Can be in and out in 30 minutes and the results sent directly to you and your physician. Day, evening, and Saturday hours are available.
RMH is accredited by the American College of Radiologist and certified by the Health Care Financing Administrator as a provider for Medicare. A mobile screening mammography van is now available. Call 540-433-0524 or 800-722-8854 for more information about the mobile van.
